Farber

The HPC community cluster is running Linux that consists of:

  • A total of 2000 cores and 6.4 TB of RAM in 100 nodes
  • Dual 2.5 GHz Intel E5-2670v2 (Ivy Bridge) processors (10 cores each), 64 GB RAM, 500 GB scratch disk (Purchase year, 2014)
  • 56 Gbps (FDR) Infiniband network-MPI
  • 288 TB Lustre scratch file system/ 72 TB NFS file server

Squidward

The HPC cluster dedicated to the Vlachos group is running Linux that consists of:

  • A total of 848 cores and ~2.5 TB of RAM in 65 nodes
  • 25 nodes: dual 2.1 GHz AMD Opteron 2352 processors (4 cores each), 4 GB RAM, 80 GB scratch disk (Purchase year, 2009)
  • 40 nodes: dual 2.3 GHz AMD Opteron 6134 processors (8 cores each), 64 GB RAM, 1 TB scratch disk (Purchase year, 2011)
  • Myricom 10G networking (for accelerated interprocess communication, e.g., MPI)
  • Infortrend EonNAS shared storage, 10 TB (Purchase year, 2011)
